It is all By Him, For Him and With Him
Colossians 1:16 - For by him were all things created, that are in
heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were
created by him, and for him:
Yesterday I had a nonbeliever ask me about Jesus, not about the man
Jesus Christ but His role in the Old Testament. If it was Jesus Who
spoke to Abraham and other characters in the Old Testament and if it
was He then how in the Old Testament He gave instructions that to kill
and then in the New Testament He spoke of peace.
Paul was among the few who really understood Him and the Bible well.
In the whole Bible the 8 verses (13-20) from which the message we
received today gives the simplest introduction of Lord Jesus Christ
yet does not cover everything. I am sure what I have been revealed
till date is not all and there is more to know about Lord Jesus
Christ. When I say this, I am not talk about His nature or character
but Who He is, His origin, the things He did before our creation, His
role in creation, His part in the readmission of man, His purpose for
man etc...
It is very, very difficult to explain the hidden aspect of Lord Jesus
Christ unless one has the understanding of God, the Godhead (Triune
God), the background of things that happen before Genesis 1:2, the
purpose God created this creation not only the destiny but also its
reason of the process and what the awaited result is all about.
Let me put the story of salvation in a simple way. There is a river
bank A on which the inhabitants whom God created got infected due
their rebelling against His Nature and were given a period before
everyone on that bank would be destroyed. To be saved they were given
instructions by God to cross over to the other bank of the river
before the destruction. When they started they started with a mistake
so to prevent them from repeating the mistake and also never to rebel
against God, the river was made very rough such that if they did cross
they would never forget the journey. But the river was so violent and
infected with wild beast in it that none had hopes to cross. They were
not able to cross for the currents were very strong even the boat
given unto them could not move directly so the only way of crossing
was moving diagonal to the flow with great struggle. They were allowed
to cross diagonally since it was impossible for anyone unless they had
an anchor touching the bed of the river. The depth of the river and
the beasts in the water would not allow any to put their feet in the
river and survive. Also even if they did move diagonally in a boat
they did not have sufficient time and distance to reach the other bank
for the river ended at a distance ahead unto a steep fall and when the
time was up all on the bank A and in the river would be destroyed. God
said even if two could cross all connected with them would be saved.
God the Holy Spirit became the only means for He alone was not
affected by the beast and was strong that the currents could not shake
Him. God the Son came as man and paid the price so that the Holy
Spirit would be available for all to cross. He also became an example
as to how with the Holy Spirit anyone who believes in Him and listen
to His instructions can cross and be saved.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord, creation and all were doom to destruction but You alone could
save them. Your mercy became the boat when kept us though this
journey. You paid the price for us and made salvation possible for us.
Lord, help us realize the consequence of this temporary creation which
rebelled against You but You would not let it become vanity for You
have a purpose. The purpose being to be part of your glory and we know
we will receive it because of You...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Colossians 1:13-20
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath
translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that
are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by
him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning,
the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the
preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to
reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be
things in earth, or things in heaven.
